FM Transmitter

A 5 watt stereo transmitter turned down to 1 watt to keep legal. A built in High Pass filter to give the audio crisp and clear sound. I also compress the audio before the pre-empasis stage in the transmitter to avoid clipping and harmonic distortion that would lead to bleed over. Powered by a 30 amp Diawa power supply.

Antenna

The signal is being fed into a home made J-pole at a 6db gain, It covers the whole block nicly. Transmitting on a frequency of 90.1 FM.

Audio

Audio is being fed from the contolling computer to a sound mixer, The sent to the audio video computers.

Computers and Software

The audio video computer is a 2.6gig, 1 gig memory, 40 gig hard drive. This is used just for streaming.

Light controll computer is PIII 866, 256meg 30 30 gig HD.

Software for the lights from Light O Rama.

Each song takes me about 30 to 40 hours to program.

I have 15 songs so far.

 

 

Video

I am using a Sony Hi-8 camcorder housed in a camera case I found at a Ham Flee market. The camera is being fed to my audio video computer by a S-videocable then sent to Ustream for broadcast.
